Kljucica fortress trail - hidden gem at meeting point of two rivers

From Dubrava village on rugged and rocky trail we will reach summit of Krtolin hill. Brief rest at the top to enjoy view to Sibenik on south-west and Promina and Dinara mountains on north-east.
Sweet and long descent towards asphalt roads, direction to city of Drnis. After 5 km, we will take turn to forgotten trail leading to Cikola river canyon, famous water spring of Torak and wooden bridge. This riding is pure enjoyment, because of scenery and challenging terrain. Vineyards and olive trees near the river, steep canyon sides protect this beautiful valley. Trail take us in northerly direction, sharply ascending towards Miljevci plateau. Near the top of the canyon, view will open for Kljucica fortress.
1 hour hike will be required to explore the walls of fortress, or we can simply sit back at the side of the road and enjoy the view. On our back towards Dubrava, we have to cross river Cikola one more time, but this time on asphalt road and bridge. If enough power in the legs, we can take last climb to Krtolin wind farm or alternatively longer and easier flat road back to our villas. Cca 50 km in length with 1000 vertical meters of ascent. Time required 3-5 hours.
